Steve Payne
Senior Vice President
Steven L. Payne began his insurance career in May 1979, upon graduation from Oklahoma University, with an MBA in finance. Steve attended Oklahoma State University as an undergraduate. He began his career at Hank Moran and Associates, were he initially started building his client base. Steve earned his CIC designation in 1983. In 1984 he joined Insurica, formerly North American Insurance Agency. He was awarded the National Sales Award for twelve consecutive years, while at North American Insurance Agency. In 1996, Steve partnered with the C. L. Frates and Company organization.
Steve now serves as Senior Vice-President of C. L. Frates and Company. His principal focus has been energy, representing clients in all energy producing states.
Outside of the office, Steve serves as Vice President of City Care, which provides the Whiz Kids program in Oklahoma City. Steve has served as President of the Children's Hospital Foundation, Infant Crisis Services, and the Metropolitan Library Foundation and is active in Crossings Community Church.
